About Us

York South Family Network (YSFN) is a volunteer-driven grassroots organization. Founded by a duo of parent-caregivers to adult children with developmental disabilities, its goal is to host events where other parent-caregivers of adult children with developmental disabilities in Vaughan, Richmond Hill & Markham can come together to connect, unwind, engage in stress-busting creative activity, exchange information and mutual support, and then return to parenting tasks recharged. We get together in person as well as virtually, and strive to bridge with parent-caregivers whose children's needs are such that keep them close to home.

We gratefully acknowledge the Ontario Caregivers Organization, whose capacity-building grant funding makes our events possible (ontariocaregiver.ca).
